Manicure

Shellac manicure is a great way to get your nails looking beautiful and long-lasting. It is a combination of traditional preparation with the addition of shellac or gel varnishes. The process involves filing, shaping, buffing, applying cuticle oil, applying a base coat of shellac or gel varnish, curing it under UV light for about two minutes and then applying a topcoat.

Shellac manicures and pedicures are popular because they last longer than regular polish - up to two weeks without chipping or fading. They also provide an extra layer of protection for your nails that helps protect them from damage. With the right maintenance routine, you can keep your nails looking perfect for longer!

"I had the best experience I enjoyed my time greatly and left feeling really special. Was extremely happy with my nails they looked exquisite and were so expertly done. Everyone asked me where I got them done for weeks after and I am very proud to tell them!" - Kate

What is a manicure?

A manicure is a beauty treatment of the nails. Your Beautician will cut, file, and shape your nails. Cuticles are trimmed, pushed back and tidied. A system of colours are applied - there are hundreds of colours to choose from - to give a perfect polish finish. The skill is to apply polish to give an evenly distributed glossy finish that is taken close to your cuticles and perfectly sealed to give you many weeks of enjoyment.

Nail cutting

Your Beauty Therapist will consult with you to decide what you will be happy with, ehat is possibe and offer a range of suggestions to suit you. It may not be possible or necessary to trim your nails; it depends on your how long your nails are and what result you are looking for. They will be cut, trimmed and  filed to your desired shape.

Cuticles

Cuticles are the skin that surrounds the nail plate - just where where your nail and shin of your finger meet. This skin tends to dry and is ueven giving a rugged edge between your fingers and nails. Our beautician will carefully cut out the dry skin; fingers are dipped into a solution to soften the cuticles. Sterilised pusher and cuticle nipper are used for this.

Buffing & Polishing

Nail are rubbed with a nail buffer that leaves nails looking smoother and shinier. Buffing can help to get rid nail ridges, take care of jagged edges that you may have, and even encourage the nails to grow. Buffing can also helps to remove surface stains and improves blood circulation to the nail bed.

Properly done, buffing leaves an attractive sheen to nails. They can be left without polish - men usually leave nails buffed skipping the polishing step. If your regularly acrivities are an issue, this is great as buffered nails do not have varnish that can chip!
